Rarely can a movement bring together people with various beliefs. For example, Ron Paul Libertarians and old school socialists are gathered at sit-ins and protests around the country. So are the younger generation and the older. And so are the white majority and the minorities. Occupy Wall Street has spread across the country and does not show any signs of slowing down.
These people want justice. They want the 1% to stop being greedy and for corporate America and American government to be two separate bodies. The agenda of Occupy [Wall Street, Austin, Grand Rapids, Sesame Street, etc.] is largely unshaped, but so is the movement. It's evolving with every passing day.
It's messy. But then again, revolutions always are.
Police forces have started their retaliations, largely in too violent of a fashion to be permitted, proving that this movement means something. A movement like this hasn't had as much youthful energy poured into it since the '60's some say. I don't think there has ever been a more relevant topic since then, though.
Look alive, people, things are happening. You can't ignore this news. Even the local news stations are putting little sound bits in about it. You know it's important. So whip out your guitars and tye-dye shirts. Peace, love and money!
